A good one can — motorcycles are a punishing environment, and a tracker that can't handle weather and shaking is useless where it counts. Two things determine survival: the unit's build and where you mount it.
On build, the Stealth is a sealed, self-contained unit with no external wiring — no connectors to corrode, no harness to shake loose. Its magnetic mount is strong enough to hold firm on flat steel through normal riding vibration, which is exactly what it's designed for on motorcycles, ATVs, and trailers.
Smart mounting does the rest of the work:
- Pick sheltered steel. Under the seat, inside the tail section, or on the protected face of a frame bracket keeps the unit out of direct spray and flying grit.
- Choose flat, clean surfaces. The magnet grips best on flat steel free of thick mud or rust — wipe the spot before mounting.
- Avoid the blast zones. Skip spots directly behind the front wheel or low on the swingarm where mud and stones hit hardest, especially if you ride off-road.
- Check it seasonally. When you swap the replaceable battery (roughly every 9-12 months), confirm the mount spot is still clean and grippy.
Mounted with a little thought, the tracker rides out rainstorms and rough roads quietly — and it's still there, still reporting, the night someone tries to take your bike.
