The most secure home setup isn't one product — it's a locked room plus layers that each cost a thief time, noise, and nerve.
Inside a locked garage, out of sight. Windows frosted or curtained. The street should have no idea a bike lives there.
Anchored to the planet. A concrete-set ground anchor with a hardened chain through the frame — not the wheel — is the single biggest upgrade. Wheels come off; frames don't. Keep the chain tight and off the ground so it can't be hammered or leveraged.
Locked at the bike. A disc lock with an alarm adds a 100+ decibel problem the moment the bike is moved.
Hardened doors. Deadbolt and reinforced strike on the side door, secured emergency release and track bolts on the overhead door.
Eyes and light. Motion floodlights on approaches and a camera angled to catch faces and any vehicle plate.
Layers one through five make the theft slow and loud. The final layer makes it recoverable: a hidden magnetic GPS tracker on the frame, with motion alerts to your phone and a battery that runs roughly 9–12 months. If a crew beats everything else, you're not filing a report about an empty garage — you're giving police a live location while the bike is still moving. That combination — deter, delay, detect, recover — is as secure as home storage gets.
